Seeing in the Spirit..

One evening, I set aside time for prayer.

I began with ‘The Harvesters’ Prayer’. https://gojes.us/harvesters_prayer.htm

I began to worship singing Agnus Dei.

As I closed my eyes, I could see a great light in the clouds. I followed the light, and it began to fly farther and farther away from me. I chased an angel which appeared in the clouds and into the sky, far above where a great light shone in the blue sky.

The light disappeared, and I searched for it as I continued to worship. The light returned, and I saw a great momentum as high as my eye could see, with gold magnified at the top, shining with a magnificent light. Just below it was a great city, as far and wide as my eye could see.

Then the sky rumbled with thunder, and I could see a great darkness within the clouds, as if it was about to start raining fire, but the cloud calmed and faded, its presence disappearing. At the same time, I could feel a sinister presence to my right; it beckoned me to look at the city, and all of a sudden felt an overwhelming temptation.

Ezekiel 1:4
4 I looked, and I saw a violent storm coming out of the north – an immense cloud with flashing lightning and surrounded by brilliant light.

I continued to worship.

As I persisted in worship, I felt no desire for what I was being shown by the sinister presence: power in the world, fast cars and high stacks of wealth. The presence shifted into the image of a naked woman and was making efforts to seduce me; I turned my eyes to the cross and saw Jesus Christ’s sacrifice.

Isaiah 53:12
12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,
    and he will divide the spoils with the strong,
because he poured out his life unto death,
    and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
    and made intercession for the transgressors.

I persisted in worship and promptly noted down what I had just envisioned. At no point did I feel separate from my body, just guided in what I was seeing.
