How can I use money to spread the Gospel?
What does using your money to spread the Gospel look like?
There are many ways we can see this in 2026:
Mission Trips
Taking time out of the year to volunteer in supporting communities around the world. Many enjoy travelling for many reasons, whether it be: Gaining a new perspective, meeting new people or taking a leap to get out of your comfort zone. Deciding to go on a mission trip will surely make a difference in more than just your life.
Setting aside £300 can cover accommodation, meals, pick-up from the airport and support in the country you’re travelling to.

Donating funds to the churches in less fortunate countries and circumstances, where furniture and amenities aren’t so easy to come by. Funds to buy water dispensers, chairs, and air conditioning can go a long way.
Sponsoring those with gifts in the church to help them get to the next step
At my church, I’m filled with joy when I see the instrumentalists teaching the youth how to play the keys, the drums or guitar after the service.
Encouragement is the first step, time spent stretches the distance, helping the dream gain momentum, and financial support can ultimately give someone the tools to achieve their goal.
The Church with Tithes and Offerings
You already know what I’ll say here. Malachi 3:10. For those who don’t know:
Malachi 3:10
10 Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.
In scripture, we read about the heart of David, his hunger for the presence of the Spirit of the Lord. In his splendour, he built up stores of wealth for the building of the Temple of the Lord.
1 Chronicles 22:14
14 With great pains I have provided for the house of the Lord 100,000 talents[a] of gold, a million talents of silver, and bronze and iron beyond weighing, for there is so much of it; timber and stone, too, I have provided. To these you must add.
We then read the account of how marvellous the Temple of the Lord was, built by Solomon over the course of seven years. There was peace in Israel throughout Solomon's reign, and they prospered in every way.
Now what am I saying? Is God a genie? NO! You do not receive blessings on account of how much money you put into the church. RATHER, it is the intent of your heart in the manner of your giving which can bless the Church. The majority of churches need to pay rent for their location, a sound system, and facilities for children. None of these comes up out of thin air. It is a joyful thing to contribute to maintaining the building where we can come together to fellowship in praising the Lord and lifting one another into the full body of Christ.
Buying Books
I will never forget the day I stumbled upon a book titled ‘The Fall of Lucifer’ by Wendy Alec in the KT Book Store in Notting Hill. The book was the first in a series documenting the story of Heaven, and time before time. Although fiction based on Biblical truth, I found such a reverence for God in it. It regularly led me back to scripture and the glory of God.
Joining KCG in 2024 enabled me the opportunity to read books written by Christians for Christians. Reading, Hungry for more Jesus, The Relationship Principles of Jesus, X: Multiply your God-given Potential by John Bevere has not only increased my knowledge of Christian Principles and understanding the character of God, but it has also built a community. A group of who meet weekly via Zoom, and enjoys 2 hours of sharing what we have read and diving into scripture. It is hard not to come out of such a session completely edified and filled with blessings.
Buying Bibles
Buy Bibles for eachother, whether in the body of Christ for years now or a freshly born-again Christian. You can never have too many Swords of the Spirit in your arsenal.
Ultimately, being generous with your money for the sake of the Kingdom
Give to God, as you would have God give to you. Love to serve Him, in a way of helping an individual financially, in a way of building up the church, going on a mission trip and making an impact in a community or uplifting a member of the Church in their spiritual walk!
Giving of tithes and offerings in your church to plant seeds into the church, seeing what gracious things God allows to grow from them. And ultimately buying Bibles for your loved ones, believers and unbelievers alike.
Continue the good work, run your race, so you may hear:
Matthew 25:21
“Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!”
