I love it, yeah m8, absolutely love it.
This track fills me with VIM, the metaphors in the hook alone is enough to equip you for the day. “Ready for war I’m with the team, spiritual waps roll with the machine…” which is direct correlation to Hebrews 4:12 - ‘For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.’
Law1 once again with the effective string loops, the way they sit in a pocket on the track takes me to a live performance I once saw, it was Ron Kenoly's Ancient of Days Live performance. The instrumentalists took their solos and owned the stage in their respective parts, the bass and bell players in a state of pure bliss, eyes closed while playing the instruments. There is just the right amount of reverb, with the 808 humming underneath it before the kick pops in at the beginning of the hook.
This is my first time hearing of Nos, and BOY am I happy to have done so. His cadendce, timbre and delivery is such a vibe! "LIVING STREAMS, LIVING STREAMS FLOWING THROUGH MY INNER BEING!" How powerful, like a word straight out of Songs of Solomon. I'm looking forward to hearing more from him this year.
I had to wheel it once I heard this line, it hit me in the chest "I pray stright to God don't need rosarys, if I choose the world WOE IS ME!"
The call and answer between Nos and TKE3 screams chemistry, a one mind, a synchronised focus in their motivation for the track. Living streams is a reminder that to live in Christ isn't a life of weakness but rather one of strength and victory. It is a reminder that He is the light, He made us heirs, He fills our cup as it overflows, that we are never alone in battle!
God wants us to know and remember at all times that He is living WITH-IN us, at times we look up to the sky and pray hoping that the clouds will part and a light beam will shine down, doves flapping their wings in the stream of light as a point of contact to our Heavenly Father. He is much closer than we think, he flows within our very veins and capiliries, he is every beat of our heart, every breath which we inhale and exhale.
